The Million Dollar Desk

OK, so I exaggerate...this desk didn't cost a million bucks...
but they WERE asking $800. Yes, as in eight hundred dollars.

Why, you ask? I have no idea.
I'm friendly with the shop owner, and he didn't know, either.
He gamely marked it down to $700.

And so it sat...it sat through half off sales, furniture sales, and holiday sales.
I told him to call me when he was ready to sell it for $75. He laughed.
He never called.

I stopped in today to browse on my way home from work.
"you still want that desk?" he asked.
"Why, yes, I do" I replied.
And so it's mine.
For $75.
