Fancy Flea 2012

This was our first time attending Fancy Flea
as shoppers, and not vendors...

I have to admit, it was really nice to wake up
at 7:30 instead of 4am,
stop at Sbux
and make our way to Lakeland
without hauling a trailer behind us!

It was also VERY nice to not have to deal
with unloading a block away from our space
and carry heavy furniture down the street!

I will say, the event was very crowded,
and in my opinion, has outgrown
the stretch of streets it spans

As a shopper, I don't enjoy fighting crowds,
but I hope the crowds translated to $$$ for the vendors!
 The weather was perfect...
blue skies, 85 degrees, cool breeze...
(OK, so it could have been a LITTLE bit cooler!)

We saw lots of familiar faces
and met some new ones...

Overall, it was a lovely day!

I took nearly 200 photos,
so  this is part 1:

wouldn't these be lovely at Christmas?

 Something for the kids...

 Annie Sloan's Antibes

 Miss Mustard Seed's Milk Paint

 An adorable ottoman/bench

I should have bought each and every aqua jar!

And of course, our girl Jessica
from Stellar Junk!

What's in the basket, you ask?

just some SUPER clever little press packs
for the paint line she carries at Adjectives Market!

I'll post more pics during the week...

  1. Thanks for posting the pics. Being a vendor (Star Studio) I only had time to "run" down the street and try to take in all in in 3 minutes or less! hahaha. Now I can enjoy it with your pictures. It WAS a great day for vendors and the weather was perfect. Thanks again!

  2. Thanks for sharing lady! Love ya!

  3. Great pictures!! Kathy and I were shoppers instead of vendors and felt the same way, it was soooo nice not loading all day the day before and then getting up at 4am. You know the drill. I only took a few pictures, wish I had taken more. WE LOVED SHOPPING!! We did meet Jessica of the famous Steller Junk. Anyway, someday we will meet you. Love your booth at Adjectives!! Enjoy our cool weather today..
