Naughty French Armoire

Just the right size...
not too big
not too small

pretty carvings on the doors and legs

She's getting painted, without a doubt!

Doesn't it look like it's flashing you?
Naughty Armoire!

Antebellum Pie Safe

This pie safe....it's so rustic and primitive
all wood, rough cut, nothing quite fits right
It's perfect

It's a rough and tumble piece...
with a little touch of glam
courtesy of the original glass knobs

It's a milk paint candidate, for certain
heavily distressed,
peeling,
and cracking

It's nearly as old as dirt...
someone replaced whatever originally covered the doors with new panels
Those gotta go!
I'm thinking poultry wire
or vintage feed sacks

Farmhouse Fabulous!

curvy cutie!

Love. I love this. Very much.

It's an antique sheet music chest...

and it's sorta perfect, don't you think?
It's Tiger Oak...but I think I will paint it anyway.

Leave the top, paint the body...
Paris Grey or maybe Provence?

wingin' it

How bad do I want these?
yeah, that bad.

To give you an idea of scale,
that is a KING sized bed frame below

I did not buy them.
I know they must be repros...
and I have nowhere, literally, to put them.

Does anyone know
anything
about these carved wooden angel wings?

pour moi....

Sorry for the less-than-blog-worthy photo
My Fuji is having issues
and this was with my Blackberry

I love this.
I don't keep much.
Not sure why I am so drawn to this piece, but I am.
I paid too much (by my standards)
I'm going to replace my pantry and use this
(well, "pantry" isn't accurate...
we use a depression era hutch with the door removed)

Guess I'll have a Depression Era Hutch for sale real soon!
(did I mention I just painted it two months ago?)

And guess what?
I'm NOT painting this.
Can you believe it??

Newness

Seriously....as I the luckiest girls ever or WHAT?
This amazing mirror is straight out of France
Circa mid 1800's

The top curves outward, and even with the curve, it's 6ft tall

It's plaster and wood with precious Putti
and a basket full of wonderfulness
It's missing a piece of the basket, but I have it

It's had it's fair share of repairs over the years (centuries)
and it all adds to the charm and history of this amazing mirror

Do I paint it?
Preserve it?
Keep it?
Sell it?
